Experienced.Anthony G. Forlini, current Macomb County Clerk, is running to be Michigan’s next Secretary of State.
As a dedicated Michigan public servant, businessman, and proven leader, Tony is committed to restoring trust, accountability, and efficiency to the Secretary of State’s office. A lifelong resident of Macomb County and proud native of St. Clair Shores, Tony has spent decades serving his community with dignity and results. |
He currently serves as Macomb County Clerk, where he has delivered measurable improvements in service delivery, streamlined operations, and strengthened election security.
Prior to that, Tony represented Michigan’s 24th District in the State House of Representatives and served as Supervisor of Harrison Township.
His experience in both local and state government gives him a deep understanding of how to run a modern, accountable, and citizen-focused Secretary of State’s office.
Tony earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Western Michigan University and has been a successful small business owner for more than three decades.

In recognition of his charitable efforts fostering goodwill between Italy and the United States, Anthony was knighted in 2016 by Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
Most recently, in 2025, the Macomb County Clerk’s Office under the leadership of Anthony received two national awards from Tyler Technologies for innovation and operational efficiency. His organization was the only one in Michigan to win an award and the only one in the country to win two out of 5,000 eligible municipalities nationwide. |
